Salvation in Christ
An excerpt from Acts 4:11-12
This Jesus is “the stone that was rejected by you, the builders; it has become the cornerstone.”
There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among mortals by which we must be saved.’
Reflection from Brian Coninx, St. Lawrence: As a person that has spent most of their professional career in construction, I am keenly aware of the importance of the cornerstone in the structural framework of any building. It lays the very foundation on which a magnificent structure can be brought to life.
This passage reminds us that faith in Jesus is the “cornerstone” upon which our faith is built. It is only through our faith in Him that we can build a better life for all those around us seeking salvation. Like the cornerstone, a keystone is critical to the structural integrity of an arch.
