Christ is God manifest
An excerpt from Colossians 1:15-17 (NRSV)
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; for in him all things in heaven and on earth were created, things visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or powers – all things have been created through him and for him. He himself is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

What is God really like? We all have stories we learned about our own experiences and those of others that make up our ideas about what God is like. Prayers answered – or not. Love
experienced – or not. But whatever stories we’ve learned about God, the reality is that God is just like Jesus. As theologian Michael Ramsey put it, “God is Christlike, and in him is no unChristlikeness at all.”
