God’s might
An excerpt from Psalm 77:11-14 (NRSV)
I will call to mind the deeds of the Lord; I will remember your wonders of old. I will meditate on all your work, and muse on your mighty deeds. Your way, O God, is holy. What god is so great as our God? You are the God who works wonders; you have displayed your might among the peoples.
Reflection from Fran Ingram:
When we are feeling down and forsaken in depression, doubt, or sorrow, we need to remember God’s words and miracles. He gave the Israelites food and water in the wilderness. He saved Daniel in the lion’s den. Through Jesus, he healed the sick and blind and multiplied the few loaves and fishes to feed thousands. He is still performing miracles today. We need to open our eyes and hearts to his power and great deeds.
