Protection
An excerpt from Isaiah 4:2-6 (NRSV)
Indeed over all the glory there will be a canopy. It will serve as a pavilion, a shade by day from the heat, and a refuge and a shelter from the storm and rain.
Painting and Reflection from Jon Dutcher:
This verse reminds me of a time when we were visiting a park in Hawaii. It started to rain when we walked into a bamboo forest, which provided a natural canopy and gave us a sense of protection.
