This Sunday...
This Sunday at 9:30, StGs will gather as a community of worship in the aftermath of the Highland Park parade shooting. We will lament, weep, pray, and hold each other in loving community. We were created to be with each other. We need each other. We are never alone. Come as you are able: onsite or online. Come as you are, and we will sit in the holy presence of the Beloved to begin to find glimpses of healing.
Later Sunday afternoon we will gather with our Better Together community for a picnic. It may seem off-balance to picnic when we are still in shock and grieving. And yet, gathering together in community is exactly what we need. We cannot let the fear and terror that evil plants in our world to keep us from living into the community we were created to be. We need each other. And we will gather and eat as Jesus taught us. And we will laugh, and maybe cry, and all shall be well in the fullness of time.
Let's be together on Sunday. We need each other.
