God’s temple
An excerpt from 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 (NRSV):
Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.
Reflection from Sharon Henley-Gramer:
I remember when I gave birth to my first child and I shared the “wonder” with a parishioner who already gave birth many times over. I couldn’t believe that something so precious starts with just a “seed.” I truly believe that we are all born with a gift, and it is God’s spirit. We are all born good, and we learn evil. God’s temple is in all of us and we can contain it or share it. It is so exciting when we share our gifts. Maybe during this time of Lent, share God’s spirit with another through kindness and forgiveness.

May you have eternal rest.”
