In Christ, all can be made known
An excerpt from Luke 8:16-18 (NRSV)
No one after lighting a lamp hides it under a jar, or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a lamp stand, so that those who enter may see the light. For nothing is hidden that will not be disclosed, nor is anything secret that will not become known and come to light. Then pay attention to how you listen; for to those who have, more will be given; and from those who do not have, even what they seem to have will be taken away.
Reflection from Victor Przysiezny:
My faith is often confusing, blurry, or worse. Not easy to share, not easy to talk about.
But there have been moments when my faith appeared like light. Light that seemed to come from Light, Light that made God visible.
We are called to share our stories of faith, starting with our simple “wow,” holding these moments of light, these flashes, up for all to see.
This won’t be easy, but nothing as wonderful as this Light and our faith should be kept hidden or secret.
