How do we tell the story of Jesus?
An excerpt from Luke 2:16-18 (NRSV)
So they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the child lying in the manger. When they saw this, they made known what had been told them about this child; and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds told them.
Reflection from Val Evans:
When the shepherds visited the stable they found the babe, not in a cradle, but in a dusty dirty manager where animals fed. The world was not prepared for this child’s birth then, but the shepherds spread the word, what was so special about this child born in such a lowly manner that they felt moved to tell of his birth? Are we prepared to spread the word about the Christ child today?
