With joy we proclaim God’s praise
An excerpt from Isaiah 12:3-5 (NRSV)
With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. And you will say in that day: Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known his deeds among the nations; proclaim that his name is exalted. Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously; let this be known in all the earth.
Reflection from Meredith Potter:
One of the unexpected blessings for me during the pandemic isolation has been the experience of joy during our zoom worship services. In particular our St. Gregory’s quartet has not only brought immense joy to our services, but zooming has allowed me to “sing praises to the Lord” with them, without distracting others from also making a joyful noise unto the Lord! It has been said that “those who sing, praise twice.” What a joy it is to be able to “pray twice” in our zoom worship together.
