God leads us and does not forsake us
An excerpt from Isaiah 42:16 (NRSV)
I will lead the blind by a road they do not know, by paths they have not known I will guide them. I will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground. These are the things I will do, and I will not forsake them.
Reflection from Scott Hamilton:
This passage from Isaiah speaks volumes about life in our earthly journey. This past year our lives have faced a pandemic and other turmoils, from hatred and anger to discrimination and injustice. That journey through darkness, despair and sorrow tends to blind us. Yet, belief and faith in the Word opens our eyes to the path we must take. And we are not alone, as God reminds us through Isaiah’s passage.
