The Body of Christ rejoices together
An excerpt from Luke 1:57-58 (NRSV)
Now the time came for Elizabeth to give birth, and she bore a son. Her neighbors and relatives heard that the Lord had shown his great mercy to her, and they rejoiced with her.
Reflection from Dan Nicholas:
What an exciting time for Elizabeth and her baby boy. I wonder what kinds of thoughts she had before having him. What color will his/her eyes be? Will they be tall or short, or what color hair will they have? All of the time that passes by before a baby is born gives those enough time to prepare both physically and mentally. During our Advent time, we too are asking the same questions of Mary and Joseph and how their preparation for Jesus unfolded in Bethlehem.
