Compline - a start of a new tradition!
What is Compline? It is an ancient short liturgy to end the day with prayers of joy, penitence, and thanksgiving. What better way to end your day than with beautiful prayers that have been said for centuries?
On August 27th, we gathered in the memorial Garden to pray together the ancient nighttime prayers, listen to beautiful cello music, and bless our NEW fire pit (courtesy of George Lewis, a soon to be Eagle Scout from our Scouting Troop). Of course, where there's a fire pit at StG's, there are s'mores!
This was the second time we gathered for Compline, the first was Thursday, July 30th in our Labyrinth.
