A Caravan of Knitters and StGs Seniors | St. Gregory's Episcopal Church

On Sunday, June 28, we had a wonderful caravan of knitters traveling to each of our new High School Graduates homes to deliver the Bibles from St. Gregory's Church along with all your letters, emails and note cards! Our wonderful Casey Kremer went above and beyond the call by creating bookmarks out of emails that church members sent to our seniors. Knowing that some of our young people may not know everyone by sight, Casey added photographs of the sender to the Bible verses and the reasons they loved the Bible verses. Now our graduates will have those special bookmarks as well as the lovely notes from the members of the church in their Bibles! The knitters created BEAUTIFUL scarves/shawls for each senior in the color of their chosen colleges. The graduates were good sports and put the scarves on even in the HOT weather so we could take photographs! Thank you to Dee West for being our official photographer of the day. Our seniors will know how loved they are!

We are people from all walks of life, all ages and stages, and all parts of Chicagoland. Most people who worship here didn’t grow up Episcopalian, but seek to radiate God’s grace by gathering community and sharing joy and hope in the world.

We take faith seriously, but not ourselves, so we find exuberance and joy in worship and all other things we do. Seriously, even most of our meetings are fun! We are passionate about food and gathering, so most of our focus goes to those things within our worshipping community and in our broader communities.

We look forward to getting to know you.

PARKING: You can enter our parking lot from either Deerfield or Wilmot Road. Handicap parking is by the front entrance off Wilmot.

WHAT TO WEAR: Many people dress casually, others choose to dress more formally, however you come, you are welcome.

CHILDREN: Children teach us what absolute joy looks like - and what better place to experience that then in church?
