Adult Forums

• During the church school year, presentations and discussions are offered for adults on a wide range of subjects on most Sundays during the 10 o'clock adult forum hour.

Bible Study Group

• On Thursday mornings women of the church meet for worship, study, and fellowship.

Centering Prayer

• A group of parish members meet with other members of the community to participate in the Centering Prayer, described by its founder, Brother Keating, as "a very simple method in which one opens one's self to God and consents to his presence in us and to his actions within us."  Each meeting begins with a practice of Centering Prayer in the Chapel, followed by a discussion and/or teaching about Centering Prayer  in the library.

Neighborhood Bible Study/Fellowship Groups

• The "Grovers" are a group of church members, their neighbors and friends, who live in or near Buffalo Grove.  The Group meets twice a month for bible study, prayer, and fellowship in a member's home.  A "spin off" of the Grovers, the "Brookies" has formed at Sedgebrook Retirement Community in Lincolnshire.  The Brookies meet monthly for dinner and a discussion of the Gospel for the  upcoming Sunday.  Additional affinity groups for other neighborhoods and for people in particular life circumstances are being planned with the help of the Grovers.

Labyrinth

• St. Gregory's has a newly renovated outdoor labyrinth on our church property which is used by the community for prayer, walks, and meditation.  Occasional instruction in the use of the labyrinth is offered to the community.

Better Than Evers

• The Better than Evers is a social group for church members and their friends who are 50 years of age or older.  The group gathers for barbecues and other social events, usually at the home of a member.

Bridge Groups

• Several afternoon and evening bridge groups for women and for couples meet at the church and in members' homes.  The group is open to players of every skill level and newcomers are invited to join at any time.
