Service Opportunities in the Parish

All members of St. Gregory's are encouraged to discern their gifts and volunteer to participate in the on-going ministries of St. Gregory's Church. In addition to serving on the vestry, volunteering to teach church school, and participating in the activities of the parish, there are a number of specific volunteer opportunities for ministry:

Acolytes

Youth (generally ages 8 – 18) assist clergy at the altar during the 10:00 am service. Adults assist with training and scheduling the acolytes, who serve 2 – 3 times each month.

The missions board is responsible for administering the parish tithe both physically and financially: “to promote, stimulate and assist the outreach of St. Gregory’s Parish” through the board member’s physical labor, emotional support, monetary assistance, and being caring and loving” to all those who are in need. Everyone who contributes through their pledge to St. Gregory’s Church is eligible to serve on the Missions Board and participate in the decisions of which organizations and outreach ministries to support.
