All members of St. Gregory's are encouraged to discern their gifts and volunteer to participate in the on-going ministries of St. Gregory's Church. In addition to serving on the vestry, volunteering to teach church school, and participating in the activities of the parish, there are a number of specific volunteer opportunities for ministry:
Youth (generally ages 8 – 18) assist clergy at the altar during the 10:00 am service. Adults assist with training and scheduling the acolytes, who serve 2 – 3 times each month.

Supports the traditions and rituals of St. Gregory’s; clean the altar area, manage vestments, set up and provide clean vessels for each communion service, manage altar decorations for the appropriate season of the church calendar year, and assist at weddings, baptisms, confirmations, and funerals.

Keeps historical material of St. Gregory’s current and available for parishioners; to store financial records for the last 7 years and destroy those financial records after 7 years.

The buildings and grounds management team (BGMT) works to manage and carry out the maintenance, repair, and improvement of the church buildings and grounds, including the church, Marian House, and the Rectory.

All adults who love to sing are welcome in our church choir. The choir sings at the 10:00 am worship service as well as on special occasions. The choir rehearses weekly.

Every Sunday morning, we have a coffee hour and fellowship after the 10:00 am service. Volunteers prepare coffee/tea and refreshments for the fellowship hour in Founders Hall, and clean-up afterwards.

Church members are trained to assist with the administration of the chalice, leading the Prayers of the People, and reading the lessons. This ministry is open to all ages, starting at 9 years old.

Church members who serve on this committee help by providing baked goods and serving coffee and tea at receptions following funerals in the church.

The investment committee manages the church endowment funds.

St. Gregory’s Church tithes its operating budget, which means that we give ten percent of our income to mission and outreach. The missions board is responsible for administering the parish tithe both physically and financially: “to promote, stimulate and assist the outreach of St. Gregory’s Parish” through the board member’s physical labor, emotional support, monetary assistance, and being caring and loving” to all those who are in need. Everyone who contributes through their pledge to St. Gregory’s Church is eligible to serve on the Missions Board and participate in the decisions of which organizations and outreach ministries to support.

Volunteers with technical skills prepare the screen and LCD projector for our services and presentations, create and run PowerPoint presentations for worship services, adult forums, and special presentations, update and maintain our website.

St. Gregory's maintains the Sally Craig Memorial Library providing books, magazines, multi-media resources, and a computer with internet access for church members. Volunteers help catalog and maintain these resources.

Ushers greet people before the services, hand out bulletins, take up the offering and present the bread and wine. The Junior Usher program is designed to encourage our young children to participate in the church service.

A volunteer prepares birthday cards which are sent to each child, who is also prayed for by name at the Sunday services the week of their birthday.
